Parque presents itself as a playing space. Each cigarette acts as an evil toy, a weapon dressed as a cushion. A lure that calls us to mock us.
It is, at the same time, a reference to recess, to the morning break, or to the comfortably parallel to other activities addiction; not necessarily everyday easy-to-address activities, but others, that are more part of us, whether we like it or not.
It invites us to lay down, so then it can laugh at us. It allows us to cuddle with our own vices and our faults, mocking us after putting us at ease.
Parque is an installation to be touched, experienced, played with, sprawled among. It was presented in the exhibition EGO selfie hotel, a ModaLisboa project in collaboration with CABANAmad, curated by Antonio Lettieri.
