Collective Memories / Memória Coletiva
Collective Memories / Memória Coletiva is the culmination of one month residency at Budapest Galéria. The installation featured a collection of personal objects found on the streets, reflecting on how debates over existing personal rights can expose intimate and private aspects of individuals’ lives to public scrutiny and effectively turn them into public property. Body rights can enter a game of finders-keepers.
Visitors were invited to bring one of their own objects from the intimacy of their homes to contribute to the participatory installation.
